Mineral Range (MRA) is a small, family-owned railroad in Michigan’s upper peninsula.
Operations began with operating a four mile segment near Ishpeming, MI in 1994, eventually acquiring it.
In 2013 MRA expanded to begin serving Ludin’s Eagle Mine concentration facility at Humboldt. Twelve miles of track were acquired and two miles relayed.
MRA connects with Canadian National at Ishpeming, providing access to the North American rail network. CN also operates over Mineral Range to access its line to L’Anse.
